SP/TSX slightly fell -0.3% (-57.5 pts), closed at 21738 points, rose 0.9% (+186 pts) for the week, rose 4 weeks in a row.

Among the 150 largest-cap stocks, 54 (36%) closed higher. 52% of all TSX stocks ended higher.

In terms of sectors, 4 sectors closed up, 7 sectors closed down, 1 sector remained unchanged, the market internal was more negative, ranging from -1.6% to 0.3%. 7 sectors outperformed the market. The market was down -0.3%; Real Estate, Utilities were up 0.3%, but already the best performers; Consumer Cyclical was down -1.6%, the worst performer.

● Canadian Tire (CTC) soared 4.8% (+$12), closed at $260, the best % gain in more than 2 months, rose 5.7% (+$14) for the week, crossed above MA20 ($256.81).

● Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp (AQN) spiked 5% (+$0.41), closed at $8.64, rose 4 days in a row, the best % gain in nearly 3 months, also a 37-day high, rose 8.4% (+$0.67) for the week after a 2-week losing streak. The best performer today with a slight increase in volume.

● NexGen Energy (NXE) largely retreated -8.7% (-$0.94) after a 3-day winning streak, closed at $9.9, the worst % loss in more than 1 year, fell -5.5% (-$0.58) for the week, crossed below MA20 and MA50 ($9.94, $9.95). The worst performer today with a significant increase in volume.
