S&P/TSX was up 0.6% and the market ended 0.5% higher.
Gold and copper stocks took a hit and dragged Basic Materials to be the only down sector with a loss of -1.2%, while Consumer Defensive was the best sector with a 1.5% gain.
95 out of 150 (63%) largest-cap stocks ended higher. And 57% of all TSX stocks closed higher.
Brookfield Asset Management (BAM-A) added 2.3% and Constellation Software (CSU) added 2.4%. Both of them are challenging their all-time highs.
