Nasdaq 100 largely retreated -5.1% (-636 pts), closed at 11928 points, the worst % loss in more than 20 months, also hit a YTD low.

Among the 150 largest-cap stocks, 2 (1%) closed higher. Only 18% of all Nasdaq stocks ended higher.

In terms of sectors, all sectors were down with losses from -0.6% to -7.8%. 8 sectors outperformed the market. The market was down -4.5%; Utilities was down -0.6%, but already the best performer, reflecting a decreasing risk appetite; Consumer Defensive tumbled -7.8%, the worst performer.

● Dollar Tree (DLTR) tumbled -14.4% (-$22.55), closed at $133.8, the worst % loss in 26 months, also a 70-day low. The worst performer with a huge increase in volume.
