SP/TSX slightly rose 0.1% (+20.6 pts) after a 5-day losing streak, closed at 19801 points.

Among the 150 largest-cap stocks, 64 (43%) closed higher. 38% of all TSX stocks ended higher.

In terms of sectors, 5 sectors closed up, 7 sectors closed down, the market internal was more negative, ranging from -1.2% to 1.4%. 4 sectors outperformed the market. The market was up 0.1%; Energy was up 1.4%, the best performer; Real Estate was down -1.2%, the worst performer.

● Canadian Tire (CTC) spiked 4.6% (+$12.78), closed at $292.78, crossed above MA20 and MA50 ($282.65, $285.69). The best performer with a slight decrease in volume.
