SP/TSX fell -1.1% (-218 pts), closed at 19928 points, a 37-day low, is testing MA200 (19897 pts).

Among the 150 largest-cap stocks, 21 (14%) closed higher, 17 of them rose with a lower volume. Only 18% of all TSX stocks ended higher, the least for 3 months.

In terms of sectors, 2 sectors closed up, 10 sectors closed down, ranging from -2% to 0.4%. 7 sectors outperformed the market. The market was down -1%; Consumer Defensive, Technology were up 0.4%, but already the best performers, reflecting a more risk-averse market; Basic Materials was down -2%, the worst performer.

● Toromont Industries (TIH) plunged -5.1% (-$5.83) after a 7-day winning streak, closed at $107.42, the worst % loss in more than 10 months, crossed below MA20 and MA50 ($107.62, $107.62). The worst performer with a significant increase in volume.

● Bank of Montreal (BMO) largely fell -3.9% (-$4.59), closed at $112.84, fell 4 days in a row, the worst % loss in nearly 35 months, also hit a YTD low.
